Ullapool,
Ross-Shire,
IV26 2SZ

Dolphin is situated in a tranquil yet convenient location, on the south-facing hillside at Braes. This is a small settlement  on the outskirts of the bustling fishing village of Ullapool, and is about one mile from the centre.

Ullapool is 60 miles from Inverness in the NW Highlands of Scotland.

By car : From Inverness follow the A9 to Tore roundabout, then the A835 road for Ullapool. Just before Ullapool, on the right hand side, there is a small country lane going up to Braes. Dolphin is roughly half a mile along the road, on the left hand side.

Wester Ross and the north are easily reached via the main A9 trunk road. Regular rail services and domestic and international flights to Inverness have made this area more accessible to the rest of the United Kingdom. There are many car hire firms at Inverness airport and town. A bus service operates from Inverness to Ullapool.

Ferry

There are regular ferries to and from Lewis in the outer Hebrides to Ullapool. Many yachts moor in the bay near Ullapool.

Ullapool and the Braes are ideal bases for exploring further north to Achiltibuie, Durness or the north coast of Scotland,  southwest to Gairloch or northeast to Lairg and Loch Shin.
